This is a permanent role based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire.
Please note, this is a fully onsite role.
There is no remote or work-from-home element.
Hours of work: 9.00am–5.30pm Monday to Thursday, with a 4.00pm finish on Friday.
Our client is a growing manufacturing business with an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded Junior Business Analyst / Support Analyst to join their Business Applications Team.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting the systems and technology that underpin core business processes across the organisation.
No prior professional experience is required for this role, and it will suit candidates with:
A degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Technology or a related field; or
Self-taught/bootcamp SQL and programming skills backed by personal projects, coursework or an internship.
Your fundamentals, curiosity and ability to learn are of greater importance than years of experience.
Role Overview
The role of the Junior Business Analyst / Support Analyst will support and help improve the systems that run core business processes (ERP, reporting and related tools).
This is an entry-level role for someone with a solid technical foundation who wants to build a career in enterprise application support, business analysis and systems development.
You'll work closely with the Systems Manager and key users, gaining hands-on exposure to real production systems, data and business processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-line support to colleagues experiencing issues with business applications, investigating problems and resolving them where possible.
- Create and maintain SQL queries to identify data issues, respond to reporting needs and support accurate data validation.
- Support smaller development and system configuration activities, working alongside and receiving guidance from senior team members.
- Produce and maintain clear documentation covering business processes, system configurations and support procedures.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand and define requirements for system improvements, updates and fixes.
- Carry out testing of system updates, patches and new functionality before they are released.
- Identify when more complex technical issues require escalation and monitor progress through to resolution.
- Assist with data cleansing, migration and reporting activities when required.
- Develop a strong understanding of the organisation’s core business applications, processes and underlying data structures.
