Our well-established award-winning client is seeking a Packing manager to join and manage a team.
You will be responsible for shift management, ensuring team leaders, colleagues and activities within the department are managed effectively and efficiently.
Duties include
- Ensure the control and plan of employees across all production/packing areas.
- Ensure the daily start-up Safety checks are maintained and staff have correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Responsible for the effective running of the department, ensuring communication between functions and department areas is effective.
- Ensure Product quality is maintained in accordance with quality standards.
- Ensure the Team Leaders prepare the department, equipment, and staff, to be ready and available for the start of each shift and all associated change overs.
- Responsible for ensuring all data information is accurate and completed on time.
To be considered for the Packing Manager role candidates must have
- Food manufacturing and quality and compliance knowledge essential.
- Previous management experience within a manufacturing industry.
- Excellent people management and communication skills
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (within the last 12 months)
- Intermediate IT skills including Excel and Word to produce daily production reports.
