The job
You will be responsible for supporting a young man and offering some joint support for two other people in shared housing, in their own home and in the community if required.
The main duties
- Prompting & giving minimal support with personal care.
- Support with Clothing - washing, ironing, appropriate for weather and occasion.
- Support with meal prep & cooking.
- Interacting and encouraging communication.
- Engagement with activities.

The right person
- Must be self-motivated and well organised.
- To communicate effectively with families.
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
- Excellent team player.
- Basic understanding of Learning Disabilities/Autism and communication needs.
- Having a driver’s licence and car for work purposes would be highly advantageous.
The hours
15 hours per week as part of a small team, with the opportunity for overtime and holiday cover.
Availability for the Tuesday and Thursday hours is most essential for this role.
The rates of pay and benefits
£13 per hour.
You will receive 5.6 weeks (pro rata) paid holidays each year.
This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, the cost of which will be met by the employer. There may also be opportunities for training relevant to your role.
