We are working on behalf of our client, a prominent UK-based car dealer group recognised as one of the Sunday Times “Top 25 Best Big Companies To Work For,” to recruit a Mobile Vehicle Technician.

The successful Mobile Vehicle Technician will play a key position in delivering high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs across Oxford and surrounding areas, working independently from a fully equipped company van.

  • Average on-target earnings up to £44,000 per annum, with overtime available at time and a half.

Duties of the Mobile Vehicle Technician

  • Conduct vehicle servicing and repairs to the highest standards across a variety of vehicle makes and models as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
  • Use the latest diagnostic equipment to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
  • Travel from site to site in the company van, working at customer locations in Oxford and surrounding regions.
  • Conduct safety inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating clear communication and technical expertise as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
  • Manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines and minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Work autonomously, demonstrating high levels of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures consistently.

Requirements

  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Several years of practical experience in vehicle repair and servicing, preferably in a mobile environment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic knowledge of vehicles.
  • Confident in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
  • Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Valid UK driving licence held for minimum of six months, with fewer than nine penalty points.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work day and night shifts (discussed further upon application).
