The Opportunity

As an Attendance Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for overseeing attendance processes, ensuring records are accurate and up to date, and supporting staff in meeting attendance and reporting requirements.

Working closely with curriculum teams, student services, and management, you'll help identify attendance concerns, monitor trends, and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented to support learner retention and achievement.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Monitoring student attendance records and ensuring data accuracy
  • Identifying attendance concerns and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Producing attendance reports and analysing trends across learner groups
  • Supporting curriculum and student services teams with attendance monitoring processes
  • Ensuring attendance procedures are followed in line with college policies
  • Maintaining accurate learner records and compliance documentation
  • Liaising with staff, learners, and support teams regarding attendance concerns
  • Supporting interventions aimed at improving attendance and learner engagement
  • Assisting with audits, reporting requirements, and data quality checks
  • Promoting a culture of accountability, participation, and student success
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in attendance, compliance, administration, student services, education, or a related role
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence working with data, reports, and management information systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach
  • Experience within schools, colleges, Further Education, or educational settings is desirable
