The predicted salary is between 12.86 - 12.86 £ per hour.
Pay: £12.86 per hour, increasing to £13.25 after 12 weeks
Working pattern: Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00
Assignment length: 6 months (with possible extension)
Level of clearance required: Basic DBS (provided by Brook Street for successful candidate)
If you're someone who thrives on structure, accuracy and great customer service, this role could be a brilliant next step. Our Client is hiring for a reputed client within the Government, supporting day-to-day court and tribunal operations in Oxford.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the smooth running of court/tribunal processes by preparing papers, files and hearing materials
- Produce and manage documents such as correspondence, minutes, notes, reports and submissions in line with guidelines
- Update and maintain accurate records on an in-house computer system, including data input and record-keeping
- Handle post opening and dispatch, general photocopying and filing
- Support listings and rota management by checking files, assisting court users and helping ensure everything is up to date
- Provide a "right first time" service through face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries, including counter support
- Assist with scheduling, serving court documents and executing a range of administrative actions (including use of chip and pin)
- Help prepare for and support daily TIB (Team Information Board) meetings, contributing to relevance and productivity
- Undertake checking and verifying tasks for documents, records, statistics, claims and returns ahead of approval
What you'll bring:
- Excellent customer service skills and a helpful, polite approach with the public and internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, with confidence working to procedures, criteria and quality standards
- Reliable administration capability, including drafting standard correspondence and producing accurate documents
- Basic statistical awareness and comfort preparing straightforward reports or calculations when required
- A positive, continuous-improvement mindset-using discretion and initiative within defined processes
- The ability to work in a flexible team, with some occasional need to support other local office locations
