What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors are looking for an enthusiastic person to complement our hard working and friendly team at Boroughbridge Primary school and Nursery.
The successful candidate will
- Be passionate about caring for children and young people.
- Have experience of working with children
- Have knowledge of matters relating to safeguarding of children.
- Have the ability to display positive social skills and encourage good behaviour in pupils.
- Have the ability to establish constructive working relationships with pupils, parents / carers and colleagues.
- Have adequate verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the need to communicate effectively with pupils, parents / carers and colleagues.
- Meet the qualification requirements to be included in the staff: child ratios at level 3:
- hold an Early Years / Playworker / Wraparound Care qualification that is recognised by the Department for Education as full and relevant at the appropriate level (see DFE Qualification Checker)
- be a student or apprentice working at the level below the level of study
- have successfully completed the experience-based route.

The core focus of this job is to ensure the provision of high quality out of hours school provision for children, within a positive, safe and happy environment.
You will do this by organising and providing an appropriate range of activities and food.
