We are a long established coach company based in Clutton, near Bristol, operating a fleet of coaches.
We are looking for an organised, proactive and reliable Operations & Office Manager to become a key member of our management team. This is a varied role combining transport operations, staff scheduling, customer service and office management.
The successful candidate will play a central role in the day-to-day running of the business and will work closely with the Managing Director and office team to ensure all services operate smoothly and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
Operations & Scheduling
- Prepare and manage driver schedules and daily work allocations.
- Allocate vehicles to contracts, private hires and school services.
- Manage driver holidays, absences and cover arrangements.
- Communicate daily duties and changes to drivers.
- Deal with operational issues and last-minute changes.
Transport Administration & Compliance
- Maintain driver records and documentation.
- Monitor licence checks, CPC records and compliance requirements.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance scheduling and workshop administration.
- Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
- Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Prepare quotations for coach hire and transport services.
- Process bookings and maintain customer records.
- Build strong relationships with schools, businesses and private customers.
Office Management
- Support invoicing and general administration.
- Assist with day trip administration and customer bookings.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the office.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and procedures.
