Communities Oldham Youth Service is looking for a dynamic, relatable Youth Worker to join our team and help expand our youth offer across the borough. Demand for local youth provision is higher than ever. In this role, you’ll step right into the heart of our community safety initiatives, helping us lift capacity caps, open up more sessions, and ensure no young person is turned away from a safe, positive space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality youth work in communities across Oldham, aiming to meet the identified needs of young people.
- Be involved with the planning and delivery of high quality youth work for young people in a variety of settings, using a variety of youth work methods.
- Support young people in the planning and delivery of projects that will challenge, stimulate and provide new learning opportunities.
- Work evenings and weekends including Friday and Saturday evenings.
Key Requirements:
- Have some experience of working with young people aged 11-19 years.
- Have the ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with young people.
- Be prepared to work evenings and weekends as required.
