We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to provide efficient high-quality service to patients and be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities in the unit area. We currently have 1 (37.5hrs) full time position available.
To support the nursing team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the ICU, bed areas, equipment, and storage areas. To support in the reporting and monitoring of environmental cleanliness and safety along with the monitoring of quality standards. To support the team in maintaining stock and equipment levels.
The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of patients, multi-disciplinary team, and relatives. You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments. The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient focused approach.
We require a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Housekeeper within the Intensive Care Unit. This role includes the undertaking of daily organisation, maintaining stock levels, audits, and cleanliness of the environment. You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as you settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-one will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.
Duties include stores ordering, management of stock, maintenance of equipment, and general housekeeping of the unit. It is essential that you can work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills. You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
