To provide a welcoming and safe environment for all Lifelong Learning centre users; to ensure the security of buildings and contents; to maintain high standards of cleanliness and undertake porterage and handyperson duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming high-quality customer service and safe environment for users of all centres including being a named First Aider for Lifelong Learning Centres.
- Ensuring security of the premises and the operation of fire and burglar alarms, fire warden and key-holder responsibilities, CCTV.
- Organising and setting-up classrooms, meeting rooms/venues for events including any associated equipment, as directed, including ordering and serving refreshments where appropriate.
- Provide an excellent level of customer service including dealing with the staff and public to exchange a wide variety of information with a range of audiences including dealing with queries, bookings, helping with problems and supporting activities within the centres.
- Receive and check goods and transport equipment and resources as required.
Key Requirements
- First Aid at Work Certificate or willingness to complete within 6 months.
- ICT, Digital, Literacy & Numeracy skills to undertake the tasks and duties of the role.
- Excellent organisational skills including the ability to work on own initiative and as a member of the team aligning to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Full Driving Licence.
