The post holder will be a member of the multi-disciplinary CAMHS team and will be responsible for providing neurodevelopmental assessments and interventions for children, adolescents and families using evidence-based interventions presenting with neurodevelopmental disorders and other mental health difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to the service.
- Monitoring and reviewing young people, including recording their physical observations in ADHD Clinic.
- Completing assessments with young people referred, which includes the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a variety of therapeutic approaches either alone or as a member of the MDT, including medication/physical reviews for those on medications.
NMC mental health nursing qualification and registration together with significant post-qualification experience in mental health services to post-graduate diploma level is required. Experience of case management of young people, multi-agency working with knowledge and experience of neurodevelopmental disorders is essential.
The base of the role will be the CAMHS department at the Royal Oldham Hospital. There is parking available locally, with a monthly fee. There may be occasions when travel to other sites within the Pennine Care footprint is necessary.
