An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the team at The Harbour, Blackpool, as a Band 7 Clinical Specialist. The Harbour is a modern, purpose-built 154-bed Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit providing care for individuals with complex mental health needs. This role offers the opportunity to provide clinical leadership, support service development, and deliver high-quality, person-centred care within a dynamic inpatient setting.

You will work collaboratively across inpatient services and with community teams to support recovery-focused pathways and improve outcomes for service users.

  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, formulation, and intervention for service users with complex needs
  • Lead and support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based OT practice within the inpatient setting
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, including risk assessment, care planning, and discharge planning
  • Support patient flow and timely, safe discharge planning
  • Provide clinical leadership, support, and supervision to Occupational Therapy staff and students
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and governance processes
  • Work collaboratively with inpatient and community teams to ensure continuity of care
