Join our large and inspirational Adult Therapies Service at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust - City and Weston as a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, where you will develop your career in line with the RCOT Career Framework!

Our team is made up of 400 colleagues who collaboratively work across City & Weston sites. This is an exciting cross-site rotational role where you will gain specialist skills and knowledge to help develop and guide you through your career. We have full time, part time and fixed term vacancies available. Face-to-face interviews will be held in Bristol or Weston.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Within this role, you will rotate across a variety of specialities and sites across both City & Weston. These rotations include:
    • Trauma and Orthopaedics
    • Critical Care, Cardiac and Surgery
  • During your rotation, you’ll be building relationships with new teams and adapting to new environments, all that offer unique benefits and incentives such as:
    • Supportive, integrated team working
    • IST/journal clubs/ research opportunities
    • Protected and regular Clinical supervision from a Senior OT / Team Lead OT / Clinical Specialist OT
    • Service development and QI projects

The post holder will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive, integrated and efficient therapeutic service for patients referred for Occupational Therapy (OT). Staff will rotate approximately every six months to different clinical sites and areas across the Trust. Each rotation will have clear learning objectives. On some rotations, Band 5 OTs will be required to supervise non-registered staff. The post holder will be responsible for a separate and designated caseload and will take an active part in their own development and will seek help and advice accordingly. Registered staff will work alongside non-registered staff and may delegate some activities. The post holder will be supported by a Band 6 / 7 throughout the rotation. The post holder will be required to work shifts including weekends and to participate in the bank.
