We are seeking an enthusiastic Qualified Nursing Associate who would like to specialise in eating disorders and join our team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time position, 12-month fixed term, starting September/October 2026.

The postholder will provide nursing input to young people receiving inpatient treatment for eating disorders at Southwest London and St. George’s Mental Health Trust.

The successful applicant will work alongside registered mental health nurses and other multidisciplinary team members. The applicant will work with a caseload of young people with eating disorders, join assessments, deliver therapeutic interventions, and work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the role includes providing therapeutic eating support, continuous professional development, and collaborative work with other nursing staff, doctors, students, and other healthcare professionals.

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the field of eating disorder treatment within a supportive and dynamic environment.

To provide nursing care to young people receiving eating disorder treatment at Springfield hospital.

To work collaboratively with the team in the management of eating disorders to the multidisciplinary team

To provide therapeutic eating support to young people, carers and families on nutritional issues relating to mental health.

To contribute to the development of care plans that reflect young people’s needs, working in partnership with the wider MDT and their families.

To work across the ED service and provide cover as necessary depending on service needs

The Nursing Associate / Assistant Practitioner will deliver high quality,

personalised, compassionate care to service users. They will be

competent to carry out tasks without direct supervision and will have an

awareness of when to ask for guidance. They will be supervised by a

Registered Nurse.

The Nursing Associate / Associate Practitioner will have completed a set

of competency assessments and training that supports their practice.
