Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated Trust with Adult Community Nursing Services based in the London borough of City and Hackney. We require a Band 4 Nursing Associate to work independently under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide efficient and effective evidence-based nursing care to patients in their own homes.

Applicants must have a qualification in Associate Nursing Practitioner as well as excellent clinical, communication, and team working skills. Experience working in a Community Team is desirable.

The Nursing Associate will be proficient and competent and work within their scope of practice as governed by the NMC Code (2018) and NMC Standards of Proficiency (2018). Act as a role model by upholding and implementing good practice in the workplace, always ensuring the highest standards of evidence-based care. Act always in a manner that illustrates respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality. Provide nursing care that is safe and compassionate.

Be familiar with, comply, and be able to access all Trust Policies and Procedures. Maintain responsibility for the identification of own continuing educational needs and development. Reflect on own practice to identify development goals and formulate a Personal Development Plan and take part in annual appraisal. Adhere to Trust Uniform Policy. Understand and adhere to Trust Zero Tolerance (Violence and Aggression) policy. Promote and value the rights and responsibilities and diversity of individuals. To always ensure confidentiality, only releasing confidential information obtained while employment to those acting in an official capacity in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act and its amendments.
