The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, and enthusiastic Nursery Third in Charge to join our management team and play an important role in the day-to-day running of our nursery.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the nursery provides a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the nursery.
  • Take responsibility for the nursery in the absence of senior management when required.
  • Lead and support staff, promoting high standards of practice and teamwork.
  • Ensure children receive high-quality care, learning, and development opportunities.
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and child welfare.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Support staff with observations, assessments, planning, and children's development.
  • Assist with staff supervision, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Help ensure nursery policies and procedures are consistently followed.
  • Support with regulatory requirements and preparation for inspections.
  • Deal professionally and appropriately with any concerns raised by parents, staff, or other professionals.
  • Promote an inclusive environment where every child is valued, respected, and supported.
