We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our agency team, supporting a range of well-established nurseries. This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to gain experience in early years education or explore whether a career in childcare is the right fit. It’s also well suited to those seeking a flexible approach to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children’s play, learning, and daily routines to help create a fun, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organised setting that encourages children’s learning and development.
- Assist staff with supervision, meal and snack times, and personal care routines to support children’s health and wellbeing.
- Prepare and tidy away activities and resources throughout the day, ensuring the environment remains clean and organised.
- Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, and curiosity through play and interaction.
Required Skills & Experience
- A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development, with enthusiasm for early years education.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt confidently to different nursery environments.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, follow guidance, and communicate well with both children and staff.
