Our client, a leading commercial vehicle company, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their reputable workshop in Nuneaton. Duties of the HGV Technician:
- - Conduct major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers, and associated vehicles
- - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance work
- - Diagnose faults and plan repairs collaboratively with the workshop team
- - Maintain accurate service and repair records
- - Ensure workshop safety and cleanliness standards are met
- - Support roadside repair requirements when needed
- - Complete all relevant paperwork and warranty documentation
Requirements:
- - Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair & Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds, or IMI)
- - Proven experience as an HGV or Trailer Technician
- - Strong understanding of DVSA standards and compliance
- - Ability to accurately identify worn and defective components
- - Full UK Driving Licence relevant to vehicle types worked on
- - IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential
- - Reliable and professional approach, with a keen eye for detail
