We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants for part-time, long-term opportunities across Huntingdon and the surrounding areas. Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under teacher guidance
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Help pupils develop independence and communication skills
- Provide one-to-one and small group support
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to meet individual learning needs
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Understanding of inclusive education and behaviour support strategies
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support pupils across different age groups and settings
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
