Are you passionate about working with older adults in a rehabilitation setting with a range of physical and mental health needs? Are you able to work holistically in a patient-centred environment? We are looking to recruit a Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our therapy team at Lings Bar Hospital. The focus of the hospital is to maximise and enable independence of the individual and the nature of work is fast paced.
The role of the Rehabilitation Support Worker is:
- To support the clinical staff with the rehabilitation and discharge planning of patients.
- To work independently providing delegated therapeutic interventions on the wards.
- To support group rehabilitation, education and exercise sessions.
- To support the management of equipment provision and contribute to the MDT management of patients.
- To be able to work flexibly across wards.
You can expect from us:
- Regular clinical supervision on a 1:1 and peer group basis.
- In-service training as needed.
- Full induction program.
- Commitment to your development and learning needs whenever possible.
You will need to be motivated, resourceful and committed to providing excellent interventions to older people. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Please note that this post may not meet the pay and skill level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of Agenda for Change Band 3. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances, the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
