We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable specialist vehicle manufacturer for a Mechanical Fitter position at their Trafford Park, Manchester facility.

Duties of a Mechanical Fitter

  • - Assemble and fit specialist commercial vehicle bodies with precision and safety
  • - Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders
  • - Safely operate hand tools, measuring equipment, and workshop machinery
  • - Install insulated panels on refrigerated vehicle bodies
  • - Complete electrical terminations including lighting, switches, and tail lifts
  • - Seal joints, floors, and roofs using silicone and specialist coatings
  • - Cut and prepare metal, timber, and plastic components using workshop tools
  • - Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the workshop and at site locations
  • - Follow all health and safety protocols, quality standards, and company policies
  • - Support the wider production team with additional tasks as required

Requirements of a Mechanical Fitter

  • - Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or within a similar manufacturing or engineering environment
