Nottingham Playhouse is looking for an organised, enthusiastic and relationship-focused Fundraising and Development Officer to help grow the support that enables us to create world-class theatre and deliver life-changing work across our communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Development team and play a key role in developing relationships with donors, Patrons, sponsors and funders. You'll support fundraising campaigns, coordinate events, administer our CRM and Gift Aid processes, and help deliver an outstanding experience for everyone who supports Nottingham Playhouse.
As Fundraising and Development Officer, you'll be at the centre of our fundraising activity, ensuring supporters receive an exceptional experience while helping to maximise income that enables Nottingham Playhouse to thrive. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll coordinate fundraising administration, support donor stewardship, organise events, maintain accurate fundraising data and help identify opportunities to grow support from individuals, businesses and charitable trusts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Acting as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries and managing our fundraising inbox.
- Building positive relationships with donors, Patrons and sponsors, ensuring they receive excellent stewardship and service.
- Processing donations, administering Gift Aid claims and maintaining accurate financial and supporter records.
- Producing reports and analysing fundraising performance using Spektrix CRM.
- Supporting fundraising events from planning through to delivery.
- Coordinating seat dedications, supporter communications and fundraising campaigns.
- Undertaking prospect research and supporting trust and foundation applications.
- Working with colleagues across the organisation to maximise fundraising and partnership opportunities.
- Representing Nottingham Playhouse professionally at networking events and external meetings.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with a genuine enthusiasm for building relationships. You'll be someone who:

Experience in fundraising, membership, sponsorship, CRM systems (particularly Spektrix), event coordination or the charity sector would be advantageous but is not essential. We recognise this is a broad role and are committed to providing training and development to help the successful candidate grow into every aspect of the position.

TERMS
Salary: £30,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (9.30am–6.00pm). Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday working will be required.
