We have an opportunity for a development role within Facilities, 30 hours per week. Working within Domestics, Portering, Catering, Housekeeping and Switchboard to gain an overview and understanding of our services.

This Apprenticeship will give the opportunity to support the coordination of daily operations across Facilities Services, including cleaning, portering, catering, waste management, and deliveries. They will ensure work is allocated effectively, cleanliness standards are upheld, patient meals are provided on time, and equipment and vehicles are maintained.

To support the delivery of high-quality facilities services, including domestic cleaning and portering, across a range of healthcare and office environments.

To take a lead role in coordinating daily operations, developing skills in task prioritisation and team organisation.

To contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

To work within relevant legislation and Trust policies, including Health & Safety and infection control standards.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
