We are seeking a Consultant in Paediatric Neurology to join Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), a leading provider of specialist paediatric services in the East Midlands. The post holder will be based at the Nottingham Children's Hospital, contributing to a dynamic and multidisciplinary team delivering high quality care to children with neurological conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a teaching hospital renowned for research, innovation, and a commitment to training future healthcare professionals.
The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care, participate in service development, and engage in education and research activities. You will work closely with paediatricians, allied health professionals, and nursing teams to deliver evidence based neurological care and improve outcomes for children and families.
- Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of children with neurological disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
- Participate in the on call rota and provide timely advice and support to the wider paediatric team.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical pathways and service improvements.
- Contribute to the teaching and supervision of medical students, trainees, and other healthcare professionals.
- Engage in research and audit activities to advance knowledge in paediatric neurology and improve patient care.
- Maintain high standards of professional practice in line with GMC guidance and Trust policies.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and help deliver on national standards and local service priorities.
