Chetwynd House Care Home is a modern residential, dementia, respite and day care home in Chilwell, Nottingham.

Featuring five beautifully designed care suites, exceptional facilities and lifestyle kitchens, we are passionate about delivering personalised care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.

  • Contracted to 30-38 hours per week

Role Overview

As Care Manager, you will lead and inspire the care team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

Working closely with the Home Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance and clinical governance are maintained throughout the home.

You will oversee care planning, medication management, audits, quality assurance and the day-to-day delivery of care, ensuring residents' individual needs and preferences are consistently met.

You will work collaboratively with residents, families and healthcare professionals, supporting positive outcomes while maintaining accurate records and driving continuous improvement.

You will supervise, mentor and develop the care team through coaching, training and regular communication, creating a positive and supportive culture where colleagues are empowered to deliver outstanding care.

You will investigate concerns, support service improvements, contribute to home projects and deputise for the Home Manager when required, including participating in the on-call rota and weekend management cover.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

  • What We Are Looking For
  • NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
  • At least three years' experience as a Deputy Manager or Manager within a residential or nursing care setting.
  • Proven experience leading, developing and motivating care teams to deliver outstanding person-centred care.
  • Strong knowledge of care planning, medication management, quality assurance, audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, infection prevention, safeguarding and the Health & Social Care Act.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
  • A proactive, compassionate and quality-driven approach with the confidence to manage workloads, delegate effectively and lead by example.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
