This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Performance and Improvement Officer to join Your Housing Group's Performance & Improvement team. You’ll be joining a team that’s collaborative, curious, and committed to doing things better. If you’re passionate about making a real impact and driving meaningful change, you’ll feel right at home here.
We are looking for an experienced individual that values collaboration, is passionate about what they do and wants to make a difference. If you love analysing data, creating important reports, and turning business data into action to help the organisation learn and evolve, this is the role for you.
As you would expect, no two weeks are alike; however, this is a role that is highly deadline-driven, so your week will be shaped by key reporting cycles, improvement activities, and delivering insights that matter. You’ll be reviewing performance, preparing reports, and leading on deep dives to triangulate a clear performance picture that senior leaders and the Board can act on. You will be homebased, living within the Northwest, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately once a week to meet with our team and collaborate.
First and foremost, you’ll be integral in supporting the Performance Reporting Framework by producing tailored performance reports and dashboards for the Board and relevant subcommittees. The great things about this role are that it isn’t just about reporting numbers – it’s about working closely with key stakeholders across the entire business to accurately represent business performance. It’s about using various sources of data from internal and external sources to triangulate, analyse and share key insights. It’s about driving results, reducing risk and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
To be successful as a Business Performance and Improvement Officer, you will have:
- Excellent relationship building skills that balance service delivery whilst maintaining oversight and scrutiny.
- Able to translate complex data simply using clear and articulate communication skills, written and verbal.
- Highly analytical and can spot current trends and predict future impact.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to tailor approach to different stakeholders.
- Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to collate, analyse and interpret numerous data sets to form a holistic performance picture.
- Proven experience of ability to extract and analyse relevant facts from data and relevant IT applications.
- Experience collating, formatting and disseminating complex performance data to ensure suitability for various audiences as appropriate.
- Demonstrable experience of understanding different stakeholder requirements and presenting information to the required audience level.
Ideally you will be a:
- A highly personable and collaborative team player who can quickly build strong relationships with a wide range of teams and people across the business.
- High-performing and able to work effectively as part of a team and on an individual basis.
- Someone who can see the bigger picture while paying close attention to the details that matter.
- Someone who values learning and knows how to analyse data, spot trends, and drive performance into everyday practice to drive continuous improvement.
In return we offer £35,000 for a 35-hour week, and 26 days annual leave (holidays also increase with time served) plus Bank Holidays, but our employee offering provides much more than just a competitive salary and holiday allowance. On top of this, we’ll provide you with a great benefits package, including a contributory pension where we match whatever you choose to contribute (up to 8%), an advanced level Healthcare cash plan through Medicash, that doesn’t just provide dental and optician cashback but also health and wellbeing benefits (such as 24/7 GP Access, money back from prescriptions and alternative therapy treatments) and an amazing discount scheme that gives you access to half price cinema tickets, subsidised gym memberships and a huge range of discounts with some of the biggest high street and online names.
