We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative with a strong plumbing and carpentry bias to join a busy social housing repairs and maintenance team.
This is an ongoing temporary opportunity working across occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to tenants.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of responsive repairs, void and planned maintenance, ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.
The role requires a flexible, multi-skilled approach with plumbing and carpentry as your core trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties.
- Complete plumbing and carpentry repairs to a high standard.
- Undertake additional multi-trade works including tiling, patch plastering, painting, decorating and general property maintenance.
- Support void refurbishment and planned maintenance programmes.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain accurate records using handheld devices and mobile technology.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with tenants.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2, apprenticeship, or equivalent trade experience across multiple trades.
- Strong experience in plumbing and carpentry maintenance works.
- Previous experience in property maintenance, repairs, or social housing.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous social housing experience.
- Experience working alongside contractors and subcontractors
Competitive hourly rate of £21.50 - £23.50 per hour.
