Salary: £36,701 - £38,738Role Purpose A newly created role to strengthen the College’s approach to statutory compliance, asset management, and planned maintenance.
You will coordinate and monitor statutory inspections and servicing across a diverse and complex asset base, ensuring a consistent, compliant and well-governed process across both curriculum equipment and estate infrastructure.
The Opportunity With the introduction of a new Top Desk asset management system, this role is central to: Creating a single, accurate asset register Improving visibility and compliance assurance Driving a structured, efficient approach to inspections and maintenance Reducing risk across all campuses
Key Responsibilities
- Asset & Compliance Management Maintain a centralised asset database across all departments and estates. Track statutory inspections and servicing requirements.
- Inspection & Maintenance Coordination Plan and coordinate inspection programmes with departments and E&F teams. Ensure timely completion and certification.
- Compliance Monitoring Review inspection reports and documentation. Identify risks, non-compliance, and required remedial actions.
- Reporting & Analysis Produce compliance reports, dashboards and trend analysis. Provide assurance to senior management.
- System Development (Top Desk)Support implementation and ongoing use of Top Desk. Improve data quality, workflows and reporting.
- Working Relationships
Line managed by Estates & Compliance Manager Work closely with: Facilities Managers Department Technicians Administration teams External contractors
About You
- Experience in estates, facilities, engineering or technical compliance
- Knowledge of statutory inspection regimes (e. g. LOLER, electrical, pressure systems, or similar)
- Strong organisational and data management skills
- Ability to work across teams and coordinate activity effectively.
- Proactive, detail-focused, and solutions-driven
- Experience with asset systems (e. g. Top Desk) desirable but not essential.
