About You: Abbeyfield School is seeking a Teacher of Geography to join our experienced and ambitious Humanities team. Raising standards and championing the subject, you will take students on an exploration of the world around them, inspiring curiosity and broadening horizons. As a passionate and reflective practitioner, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5, support students to achieve their full potential, and contribute to a culture of high expectations and academic excellence. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider school community, you will play a key role in developing both the educational and personal growth of our students.

• Qualified and Experienced Educator: Qualified Teacher Status with experience of teaching at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Innovative Teaching Practitioner: Evidence of promoting innovation in teaching and learning.

• Data-Driven and Impact Focused: Successful experience of using target setting, data analysis and curriculum innovation to improve performance.

About the Humanities Department: The Humanities Department at Abbeyfield School is dedicated to developing globally aware, informed and curious young people. Through the teaching of Geography, History and Religious Studies, the department inspires students to explore the world around them, think critically about modern issues and become lifelong learners. Across all key stages, students are challenged to deepen their understanding of both human and physical environments, question assumptions, and make meaningful connections between the past, present and future.
