The Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical teaching across a range of Plumbing & Heating programmes, supporting students to achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential.

Key responsibilities include

  • Teaching Plumbing & Heating programmes across Levels 1 to 3.
  • Acting as a course tutor for full-time and part-time student groups.
  • Managing course administration, student progress monitoring, and attendance records.
  • Delivering practical demonstrations and workshop-based learning activities.
  • Participating in curriculum development to meet evolving industry requirements and College objectives.
  • Supporting students through excellent pastoral care and academic guidance.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement and growth of the Construction curriculum.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching, learning, and student outcomes.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic industry professional with a passion for sharing their knowledge and supporting learners to succeed.

The successful candidate will have

  • Strong industry experience within the Plumbing sector.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or a related discipline.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students from a range of backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong teaching, coaching, mentoring, or pastoral support abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • A recognised teaching and/or assessing qualification.
  • Experience of teaching or training within Further Education, apprenticeships, or workplace learning environments.
  • Knowledge of current industry regulations, standards, and emerging technologies within Plumbing & Heating.
  • Teaching Qualification

Candidates who do not currently hold a teaching qualification should be willing to work towards an appropriate teaching and assessing qualification as part of their professional development.
