Pay: £16.50 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay

Hours: 50 hours per week

Days: Monday to Friday - no weekends

Standard hours: 07:00-17:30 / 08:30-18:30 starts available

The Vacancy:

Gi Group are representing our well-known client, looking for reliable and motivated courier drivers for ongoing work for their Northampton based operation. This is a fantastic opportunity offering long-term work, stability and significant earning potential for the right individual.

As a Courier Driver, you are responsible for the distribution of parcels to residential and commercial addresses, ensuring your load is secure, deliveries are made in a prompt and timely fashion, as well as providing excellent customer service skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism and representing your employer to all of their customers.

About You:

  • Must hold a full and valid UK driving licence clear with a minimum of 1 year van driving experience.
  • Must have no more than 6 penalty points for minor offences (no BA/CD/CU/DR/IN endorsements will be accepted as part of this role).
  • Previous parcel delivery experience is essential as part of this role.
  • Must be able to provide 5 years of work/education history for security clearance, as well as passing a DBS Check.
  • A good geographical knowledge of the local and surrounding areas.
  • Your customer focused experience and expertise will underpin your ability to deliver this role fully.
  • Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
  • Good physical health is required as this can be a physically demanding role at times.
  • Flexible in your approach to work, able to work reasonable overtime if required, and adhere to all health & safety practice with a safety-focused approach.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and good customer service skills.
