This is a fantastic opportunity for a pipe fitter to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a pipework installation and maintenance contract at a food production facility in North Tawton, Devon, EX20 2EB.
Duties
As a suitably qualified and experienced pipe fitter you will be working on site at a live food processing facility in North Tawton, Devon, EX20 2EB. Responsibilities will include both the removal and replacement of existing damaged, obsolete and corroded process pipework along with the installation of new lines to new production machinery and equipment. Typical duties will include installing ½" to 4" OD stainless steel dairy pipework, standard wall thickness 1.5mm to 2mm, with schedule 10 stainless steel pipework up to 4" diameter along with carbon steel up to 6". Other duties will include fitting the associated pipe supports and brackets along with assisting other pipe fitters as necessary.
About You
Based ideally in Devon or Cornwall you will need to live or have digs within a commutable distance of EX20 2EB. Demonstrable experience of fitting stainless steel and carbon steel pipework within a food, drink or petro chemical processing environment is essential. You'll also need to have good all-round mechanical fitting experience. CSCS or CCNSG are required.
In return for your experience, you will receive an hourly rate between £35.00CIS/LTD and £40.00CIS/LTD per hour.
