Role Summary
Weigh out ingredients from 0.05g to 24kg, prepare kits to the required quality and legal standard using batch cards, operating and quality procedures. Document information as required by QC procedures. Clean equipment to ensure no product cross contamination. Ensure 100% attainment to production plan, the role is quite physical and requires some heavy lifting. Accuracy is key to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Weighing out Fine Ingredients
Accurately weigh fine ingredients ranging from 0.05g to 24kg in preparation for the mixing process. - Completion of batch cards
Prepare ingredient kits in line with batch cards, quality standards, and operational procedures. Complete all batch documentation accurately and ensure information corresponds to the correct products. - Product Quality
Ensure products are approved and released by the Quality Control department prior to transfer to packing lines. - Cleaning
Clean equipment in accordance with approved cleaning procedures and ensure all cleaning activities are correctly documented. Ensure the FI room is cleaned in accordance with approved cleaning procedures. - Hygiene and Housekeeping
Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within the production areas. Report any pest control or hygiene issues promptly to the Technical Department. - Health & Safety
Comply with all Health & Safety requirements, taking responsibility for personal safety and that of colleagues. Support the achievement of production plans and operational targets.

Training
Full induction and on-the-job training will be provided. Previous experience within food manufacturing or possession of a food hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential.
