Are you an NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist ready for a change from frontline clinical work, but keen to continue using your expertise?

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life.

This is a non-clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long-term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

  • face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
  • Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
  • Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
  • Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
  • Attend the assessment centre as required

What we're looking for

  • Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
  • Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
  • Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
  • Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
  • Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports
