About the role: As a Senior Support Worker your role is to support the person in charge in all aspects of the home’s management, including taking temporary complete charge during the absence of the person in charge. You will assist with the training and mentoring of more junior colleagues in all aspects of their work in the home. In addition, you are expected to be proactively involved in creating a warm, friendly atmosphere and maintaining good relations between residents, relatives, visiting professionals and staff. As a Senior Support Worker, you will also be working in our under 65’s dementia unit which will involve you helping support and assist alongside promoting independence to those residents residing in the under 65’s unit. This role is subject to a full enhanced DBS check, in line with Wellburn Care Homes Safeguarding Policy.
