We are recruiting for a Stoma Administrator who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards “working together, improving together”.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening mail, responding appropriately, and dealing with answer phone messages on a daily basis.
- Dealing with patient enquiries on the telephone in a sensitive and reassuring manner and referring appropriately.
- Arranging appointments for clinics (organising transport where required) and home visits.
- Typing stoma clinic letters and processing correspondence for despatch to GPs, other departments, and hospitals.
- Maintaining stationary stock levels and office supplies as appropriate, ordering as required.
- Liaising with Wessex Stoma Care Group and organising meetings as appropriate.

You will provide clerical and administrative support to the stoma care department and be responsible for the general administration within the Stoma Service, supporting the Stoma Nurses through the effective delivery of central administrative roles and duties. You will often be the first point of contact and focal point for the service requiring clear communication and liaison skills.
