Our client, a specialist company based in Newport that produces precision laser-cut products, is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic
Laser Buddy & Packer / Production Operative to join their production team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, has a keen eye for detail, and would like to build a long-term career within engineering and manufacturing.
The Role
- Working alongside experienced Laser Operators, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the inspection, finishing and polishing of laser-cut products
- Carrying out quality inspections on precision-engineered components
- Packing finished goods to customer specifications
- Using measuring gauges and inspection equipment to check product quality
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and production instructions
- Recording production information accurately using spreadsheets and production documentation
- Completing quality control records and paperwork
- Using hand tools and finishing equipment
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out activities where required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting the wider production team as required
Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to develop new engineering skills and progress within the business.

- Previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, warehouse or production environments would be beneficial
- A quality-focused mindset with an eye for detail
- Own safety boots preferred
