I am recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing organisation based on the borders of Milton Keynes, specifically Newport Pagnell who are seeking Machine Operators to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity if you are:
- Keen to step away from a warehouse environment into a more skilled role
- Currently a production operative and naturally curious, hands-on, and eager to learn
- Have a background in manufacturing/production or similar
- Perhaps have an engineering degree or interested in that type of role
What will you be doing?
- Training period (first 3 months): learning to run production machinery, assisting with packing, and product labelling
- After training: operating machinery to produce high-quality products in the production area
- Taking responsibility for your workstation and ensuring Health & Safety standards are followed
What we are looking for:
- Perhaps from a mechanical background, whether it be on tools, engineering, machinery or similar
- Fed up of the warehouse environment (or similar) and want to learn something new within the manufacturing industry?
- An inquisitive mindset with the willingness to learn
- Enthusiasm, reliability, and a team-focused approach
- Own transport (due to shift patterns)
- Commitment to the required shifts, which are working a 4 on/4 off rota. This will consist of x2 days, 6am - 6pm, followed by x2 nights, 6pm - 6am, followed by x4 off
This role offers a clear training path, a competitive starting salary, and the chance to develop within a supportive, long-established manufacturing environment. Within a 3 - 5 year period you have the opportunity to become a senior machine operator which would take you up to a current salary of £36,600. Thereafter there is the option to become a Production Manager.
