As our Head of Repairs Operations, you'll play a key role in making this a reality for thousands of families in our communities.
Leading a wide-ranging operational service, you'll be responsible for the delivery of responsive repairs, empty homes refurbishment, grounds maintenance, cleaning services and planned maintenance programmes.
Working closely with tenants, colleagues and contractors, you'll ensure we deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service that gets things right first time and achieves excellent levels of customer satisfaction.
You'll be part of the Senior Management Team, helping to shape and deliver our ambitions for customer experience, service excellence and value for money.
You'll lead multi-disciplinary teams and provide technical expertise across repairs, maintenance and facilities management, supporting the wider organisation to deliver safe, compliant and well-maintained homes.
You'll take a proactive, performance-led approach, using insight, data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Assistant Director of Repairs, you'll help shape the future direction of the service, ensuring operational performance, compliance and customer outcomes remain at the heart of everything we do.
What you'll bring to our team
Focused on delivering excellent customer outcomes, you'll be an experienced and inspiring leader with a strong track record of managing operational repairs and maintenance services.
You'll be passionate about service improvement, performance and developing high-performing teams.
As a member of the Senior Management Group, you'll take ownership of operational performance, risk management and regulatory compliance within your areas of responsibility.
You'll be comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels and leading teams through change while maintaining a strong customer focus.
- What we are looking for
- An experienced senior manager who has led multi-disciplined trade teams and worked alongside external contractors and partners.
- Skilled and experienced in housing repairs, empty homes refurbishment, facilities management, grounds maintenance and cleaning services.
- Demonstrable experience of contract procurement, contract management and service delivery.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to motivate, develop and performance manage teams.
- Experience creating and delivering operational plans that drive service improvement and excellent customer outcomes.
- Knowledge of health and safety, building safety, HHSRS, damp and mould management and relevant housing legislation.
- Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and creating a positive, collaborative culture.
- A clear understanding of risk management, value for money and continuous improvement principles.
Qualifications
- Qualified to degree level, HND or equivalent in a relevant subject area, or qualified through significant sector experience.
- Relevant management qualification such as ILM, CMI or similar (desirable).
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- MRICS or MCIOB would be an advantage.
- Full driving licence and access to a car insured for business use.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or similar health and safety qualification/experience (desirable).
- Salary: £68,949 per annum.
- Location: Newent, Gloucestershire, with hybrid and flexible working.
- Full-time and permanent contract 37 hour week.
- 26 days holiday with one additional day for each year of service up to an additional 4 days
- Social Housing Pension Scheme including life cover x3 annual salary with Two Rivers Housing matching employee contribution plus 2% up to employer cap of 12% with a minimum Employee contribution of 4%
