The purpose of this job is to support my son Zion who is a lovely 8-year-old boy who is full of energy and loves to be out and about. He loves to go trampolining, soft play and the sensory room at the Tim Lamb Centre. He also likes going to the cinema, but it depends on the film, and he delights in going for a milk shake.
Zion has Downs Syndrome and is very affectionate and likes to be cuddled. He communicates using single words and if he doesn’t like something he will say no. Zion has no awareness of danger and wears reins, and the PA always has to be vigilant when out and about.
Ideally, the family would like a PA who is enthusiastic with a genuine interest and enjoyment in working with children and has some experience of working with disabled children.
This post is subject to a satisfactory DBS check and references which will be taken up if you are offered the post. This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed. At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
