We are working on behalf of a well-established main dealer in Newbury, Berkshire, to recruit a skilled MOT Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified professionals to join a reputable dealership offering career progression, a competitive salary, and excellent working conditions.
- Competitive basic salary of £35,000 per annum plus bonus, with an estimated total earning of around £40,000
- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Alternating Saturday mornings every third week, 8:00am - 1:00pm

Duties of a MOT Technician
- Conduct vehicle servicing, checks and repairs efficiently and accurately
- Perform PDI work ensuring vehicles meet quality standards
- Carry out MOT testing in compliance with DVSA regulations
- Maintain the high standards of the dealership's professionalism and customer service
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive workshop environment as a MOT Technician
- Ensure workshop tools, equipment and working area are kept in high standard
Requirements of a MOT Technician
- NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Servicing and Repair or equivalent qualification
- MOT tester licence is essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within a main dealer setting is preferred
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles would be advantageous
- An MOT Technician should have a positive attitude and good work ethic
- Ability to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Willingness to participate in manufacturer training and development
