Our client based in the Pendle/Burnley area is looking for a reliable Class 2 Driver to join their team on an ongoing basis.

The Role
You will be responsible for completing scheduled Class 2 driving duties while ensuring all vehicle and safety regulations are followed. A bin driver is responsible for safely operating a refuse collection vehicle to collect and transport household and commercial waste. They follow scheduled routes, work closely with the collection crew, ensure waste is disposed of correctly, carry out basic vehicle safety checks, and comply with road safety and environmental regulations while providing a reliable public service. Will also need to assist the crews hands on. Please note, first 15 minutes of each shift are dedicated to vehicle checks and daily inspections. Shifts are scheduled until 15:45, although most permanent members of staff typically finish around 15:00.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver regulations and vehicle safety
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
