We are looking for support in recruiting 4 full-time Animal Management Lecturers to start early September until approximately October half term, subject to change depending on business needs.
As an Animal Management Lecturer, you will deliver engaging theoretical and practical education to students in the Cheshire area.
Responsibilities include designing schemes of work, leading classroom or hands-on animal care sessions, conducting student assessments, and providing pastoral support.
You will also manage college animal collections and ensure health, safety, and welfare compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical and practical education in Animal Management.
- Design and implement schemes of work.
- Conduct assessments and provide pastoral support to students.
- Manage college animal collections.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare standards.
- Teach level 2 and 3 BTEC and T levels.
- Work full time, 37 hours per week.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching Animal Management or Animal Care (level 1-3 BTEC and T levels).
- Experience working in a further education college.
Education Requirements
- Level 5 teaching qualification (e. g., PGCE, PGDE, Cert Ed, DTLLS). Or equivalent, will also consider level 3
- NVQ level 3 in Animal Management or Animal Care, or a level 5 degree in Animal Management, Zoology, or similar.
Experience Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Animal Management or related fields.
- Prior experience in a further education setting.
