As a Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical bias you'll

  • Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and associated building services.
  • Diagnose electrical faults quickly and effectively, completing repairs to minimise disruption and keep services running safely and reliably.
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical systems and associated plant equipment in line with statutory requirements and industry standards.
  • Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance across building services, including electrical systems, HVAC, fire alarms and associated equipment.
  • Support wider building maintenance activities, using your multi-skilled experience to help keep the site operating effectively.
  • Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) where required.
  • Work in accordance with Permit to Work systems, Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Coordinate and work alongside specialist subcontractors, ensuring activities are completed safely and to the required standard.
  • Use CAFM systems and handheld devices to manage work orders, update job progress and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Identify and report equipment defects, safety concerns, accidents and near misses promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and contractors, communicating any engineering issues that could impact service delivery.
  • Help achieve

100% statutory compliance by ensuring planned maintenance activities are completed accurately and within required timescales.

  • Support weekend and out-of-hours maintenance activities where work cannot be completed during normal client operating hours.

What we're looking for

  • A qualified Electrical Engineer with a

City & Guilds/NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical discipline .

  • A minimum of

5 years' relevant engineering or electrical maintenance experience .

  • Strong experience carrying out

PPM, reactive maintenance, fault-finding and electrical installation work .

  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, statutory compliance and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Good knowledge of HVAC systems and associated building services.
  • Basic mechanical and plumbing skills would be advantageous.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, handheld devices and maintenance/CAFM systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • A customer-focused approach with high standards and pride in the quality of your work.
  • A positive, flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work professionally with clients, colleagues and contractors.
  • A willingness to undertake further training and development to expand your technical skills.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and outside normal operating hours when required for planned or intrusive maintenance activities.
