Do you have a strong understanding of CDM 2015 Regulations and a background in architecture, engineering, construction management, or health & safety?


Can you obtain UK SC Security Clearance and confidently support multidisciplinary teams in managing design risk from concept through to project completion?


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading engineering consultancy supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across defence, power, public sector, and other regulated environments. Working closely with experienced CDM professionals, you will help ensure health and safety considerations are embedded throughout the design and construction process while contributing to the successful delivery of Principal Designer services.


The Role This role would suit candidates working in these roles;


CDM Advisor, CDM Consultant, Assistant Principal Designer, Health & Safety Consultant, Design Safety Consultant, Construction Health & Safety Advisor, Architectural Technologist, Design Manager, Project Safety Advisor, Construction Risk Advisor.

Your duties and responsibilities will be



  • Support the delivery of Principal Designer responsibilities in line with current UK CDM legislation.

  • Assist project teams in identifying, assessing, and mitigating health and safety risks throughout design, construction, and project handover stages.

  • Work collaboratively with designers, contractors, and clients to promote safe and compliant project delivery.

  • Contribute to the planning, coordination, and administration of CDM-related activities, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

  • Help strengthen CDM awareness and competence by supporting the development and delivery of internal guidance and training initiatives.


You will have the following qualifications and experience



  • Degree or higher-level qualification in architecture, engineering, construction management, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline.

  • Previous experience within a consultancy environment, ideally supporting projects in highly regulated sectors.

  • Sound knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and their practical application.

  • Membership of a relevant professional body, or actively working towards professional chartership, would be advantageous.

  • Hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK SC Security Clearance and possess the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
