About the Role
As a Mobile Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining our housing schemes and communal areas to a high standard.
- You will be responsible for
- Regular visits to care, supported housing, and general needs sites
- Low-level maintenance tasks and repairs
- Grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, and leaf blowing
- Waste collection and disposal from bin stores and communal areas
- PAT testing and emergency equipment checks
- Supporting estate improvements and working closely with our maintenance and housing teams
- Equipment stock checks
- Clean/unblock drains, gullies, sinks, toilets as necessary
- What we are Looking For
- Experience in maintenance, caretaking, or grounds work
- Confidence in carrying out DIY-level repairs and using garden tools
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to excellent customer service and Hightown’s values
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Housing Associations or Local Authorities
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Experience in the collection and disposal of waste in a work environment
