Join our dedicated Neonatal Team at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and help provide outstanding care to babies and their families. As a Level 2 Neonatal Unit, we have a 16-patient bed capacity.

As a Band 5 Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, family-centred care to infants requiring neonatal support across our unit. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, while supporting parents through their neonatal journey in a compassionate and professional manner.

We are looking for an Adult or Paediatric Registered Nurse or a Registered Midwife with a passion for neonatal care and a commitment to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care. Previous neonatal experience is desirable but not essential, and we welcome applications from newly qualified nurses and experienced practitioners looking to develop their neonatal career.

As part of becoming a Neonatal Nurse, you will be enrolled in the Qualified in Specialty (QIS) Foundations and Neonatal Intensive Care courses and offered opportunities to progress into senior clinical, education, leadership and specialist roles within neonatal services.

To provide the highest standard of evidenced based nursing care for infants, children, young people and their families in line with local and nationally agreed standards and guidelines.

To be responsible for the unsupervised assessment of patient care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of plans of care, ensuring high standards of evidence-based care.

Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to formulate evidence-based programmes of care based on an assessment and evaluation of patient needs.

Support the wider nursing team and multi-disciplinary team in providing care, ensuring tasks are carried out effectively.
