Are you an experienced and motivated MRI Radiographer ready to take the next step in your career? Join our dynamic and expanding Imaging Department at Milton Keynes University Hospital, where innovation, teamwork, and patient-centred care are at the heart of everything we do.
As an Advanced MRI Radiographer, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality diagnostic service across our modern MRI facilities – including two Siemens 1.5T scanners at the main hospital site and a GE 1.5T Voyager at our Community Diagnostic Centre. With a new state-of-the-art Imaging Scanning Centre, this is an exciting time to be part of our growing service.
You’ll carry out a wide range of MRI examinations, including neuro, musculoskeletal, angiography, and dynamic studies, while ensuring the highest clinical standards and excellent patient care. The role also includes participation in the on-call rota for spinal emergencies.

As a medium sized general hospital, we provide a full range of general medical and surgical services, including a busy Emergency Department, Maternity, and Paediatrics. As the population of our city and surrounding areas continues to grow rapidly, we are expanding and enhancing our facilities to meet rising demand and improve access to care for all our communities.
We are also proud to offer a growing portfolio of specialist services. In January 2025 we opened our state-of-the-art Radiotherapy Centre, bringing advanced cancer treatment closer to home. Our services also include neonatology, specialist surgical care, and a wide range of diagnostics, supported by the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Whitehouse Health Centre.
We have just opened the Oak Wards - a new ward block featuring two 24-bed wards. Further investment is underway, including the recently approved Women and Children’s Centre, set to open by 2030.

To independently undertake a wide range of MRI procedures, ensuring high professional standards of technical competence and patient care are maintained at all times. Able to work in an advanced practitioner capacity, with a high degree of autonomy to provide clinical support and advice to other radiographic practitioners. In complex and challenging clinical situations, use a range of skills and strategies to deal with the issues presented and to lead new practice and service developments.
