An opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Fitness Instructor to join our inpatient service at the Campbell Centre. This role involves providing a service to service users with complex mental health problems on an acute adult inpatient mental health ward within the service.
You will be required to undertake assessment of service users (within departmental guidelines) regarding their suitability to participate in exercise sessions. To plan, teach, implement, and review individual and group exercise programmes, and sports sessions to promote/improve physical and mental wellbeing in both gym and community settings.
To complete service user records and other required documentation. To maintain, repair and ensure correct and safe functioning of all gymnasium/sports equipment, including organising outside repairs and warranties and planning for new equipment.
To work closely with the Social and Recovery Team and Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) in coordinating and facilitating client centred activities.
